About The Position
The Shift Supervisor leads a Starbucks shift with craft and care, helping create a warm, welcoming coffeehouse where customers feel connected and every visit can brighten their day. The role includes preparing and coaching the preparation of food and beverages to standard recipes or customer specifications, directing and coordinating employees’ work, and meeting store operating standards for product quality, cash handling, safety, and security. The position requires regular attendance and availability for flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Requirements
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Be available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
- Meet store operating policies and standards, including quality beverage and food preparation, cash handling, and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodations.
- At least six months of experience in a position requiring constant customer interaction and fulfillment of customer requests.
- At least six months of experience delegating tasks to other employees and/or coordinating the tasks of two or more employees.
- Ability to direct the work of others.
- Ability to learn quickly.
- Effective oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of the retail environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to build relationships.
