About The Position

A Shift Supervisor supports the CVS Store Management team in driving store execution and performance while building consumer loyalty through excellent customer service. When a manager or Operations Supervisor is not onsite, the Shift Supervisor leads store staff, keeps store operations running smoothly, and ensures all opening and closing procedures are completed.

The role includes supervising and coordinating store crew activities, communicating with store management and crew, assisting customers, addressing customer relations issues in accordance with company policy, and maintaining customer and patient confidentiality. It also involves pricing and stocking merchandise, setting and maintaining promotional and seasonal displays, managing related signage and inventory, and resetting departments according to planograms.

This is a part-time position with an anticipated 29 hours per week. The typical pay range is $16.50–$24.00 per hour. The position is eligible for benefits and programs that may include dental and vision coverage, wellness resources, employee discounts, and certain voluntary benefits, depending on hours worked and eligibility.

Requirements

• Deductive reasoning ability, analytical skills, and computer skills.
• Advanced communication and supervision skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and respond to urgent store issues.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a retail supervisor.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively with store management and store crews.
• Supervise store crew by assigning, directing, and following up on activities.
• Communicate information effectively to and from store management and crews.
• Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
• Promote CVS customer service practices by greeting customers, offering help, and thanking them.
• Handle customer relations issues according to company policy and promote a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain customer and patient confidentiality.
• Price merchandise and stock shelves.
• Execute displays, signage, and inventory for weekly, promotional, and seasonal merchandise.
• Set up and maintain off-shelf merchandise displays.
• Reset departments according to planograms.
• Lead store staff when no manager or Operations Supervisor is onsite and ensure store operations and opening and closing procedures are completed.
