About The Position

The Shift Supervisor supports the CVS Store Management team in store execution and performance, while building consumer loyalty through excellent customer service. When a manager or Operations Supervisor is not onsite, the Shift Supervisor leads store staff, keeps operations running smoothly, and ensures all opening and closing procedures are completed. The role includes supervising and communicating with store crews, assisting customers and resolving customer relations issues in accordance with company policy, protecting customer and patient confidentiality, and maintaining merchandise presentation through pricing, stocking, displays, inventory, and department resets.

Requirements

• Deductive reasoning ability, analytical skills, and computer skills.
• Advanced communication and supervision skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some early-morning, overnight, and weekend shifts.
• Ability to work overtime as needed and respond to urgent store issues.

Nice To Haves

• Retail supervisor experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively with store management and store crews.
• Supervise store crew by assigning, directing, and following up on activities.
• Communicate information effectively to and from store management and crews.
• Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
• Promote CVS customer service practices by greeting customers, offering help, and thanking them.
• Handle customer relations issues in accordance with company policy and promote a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain customer and patient confidentiality.
• Price merchandise and stock shelves.
• Execute displays, signage, and inventory for weekly, promotional, and seasonal merchandise.
• Execute and maintain off-shelf merchandise displays.
• Reset departments according to planograms (POGs).
• Lead store staff and ensure smooth operations and completion of opening and closing procedures when a manager or Operations Supervisor is not onsite.
