About The Position

The Shift Supervisor (SS) for Burger King is responsible for providing exceptional service to customers with an entrepreneurial, sales-driven spirit. A key priority includes assisting the General Manager (GM)/Assistant Manager (AM) in the daily operation of the restaurant. This position will also be responsible for maintaining inventories, cash control, restaurant appearance, and completing daily paperwork. Candidates should be able to strategically train and develop a productive store team whose primary focus is promoting the brand while offering exceptional customer service. The SS should inspire and encourage teamwork towards successfully achieving sales goals, upholding daily operations, and most importantly, create a fun and energized environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assures a pleasant shopping experience for all customers, responds to customer complaints, and solicits customer feedback and input.
  • Regularly coaches the team to provide and maintain a consistent high level of customer service.
  • Maintains a facility that is consistently “inspection ready” in all areas including food preparation, restrooms, and all guest contact areas.
  • Complies and maintains all Department of Health, internal company, and brand inspection standards.
  • Follows daily Onvo Safety Inspection/Emergency Response Protocols to quickly recognize and remove potential safety hazards to customers, employees, and vendors while operating in a manner that does not put company property and assets at risk.
  • Enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas.
  • Ensures compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances.
  • Establishes consistent high quality of food preparation and service while maintaining a professional restaurant image.
  • Assists the GM/AM to ensure that the restaurant has a well-trained staff to meet and exceed operational standards.
  • Maintains inventories and store appearance.
  • Treats inventory as if it is cash. All inventory variances are researched, discussed, and reported to the GM as early as possible.
  • Ensures all storage areas are clean and products are well organized and labeled with the date received.
  • Assists the GM/AM to ensure all shifts are covered and properly staffed.
  • Coordinates daily assignments and activities of associates based on sales.
  • Assures proper execution of all cash management activities, including accurate cash handling, credit card processing, and safety procedures.
  • Reports any unexplained cash shortage over $5 to the GM or District Manager (DM).
