About The Position

The Shift Supervisor at Velocity is responsible for overseeing the operations of the lounge & driving range and to supervise all Front of House staff. The Shift Supervisor must remain friendly, helpful, and professional to ensure the delivery of high levels of customer service to all guests.

Requirements

  • 2 years experience working in a serving position.
  • 2 years progressive experience working in a supervisor role.
  • Excellent leader with positive interpersonal skills and professional personality.
  • Strong working knowledge of restaurant operations.
  • Above average initiative.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • High level of organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to mix cocktails and pour drinks.
  • Effective communication both verbal and written.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Proficient in Restaurant Management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong sales skills.
  • Customer-oriented outstanding problem solver.
  • Serving It Right Certificate.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of the Toptracer technology within bays is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and allocate tables prior to shift for service staff.
  • Respond to guest feedback and resolving conflict.
  • Increase daily productivity.
  • Ensure all active staff are knowledgeable about our products and menu items.
  • Report all staff and equipment issues to Restaurant Manager.
  • Support FOH operations as required.
  • Assign cleaning and other duties to FOH staff.
  • Ensure the restaurant and patio cleanliness is maintained.
  • Engage in guest interactions and ensure all guest interactions are up to standard.
  • Ensure food quality is upheld throughout the business day.
  • Fix problems before it becomes a problem.
  • Monitor inventory and ensure that all supplies are adequately stocked.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the proper standards of sanitation are maintained.
  • Assist in mixing cocktails as required.
  • Lead and contribute to team effort as needed.
  • Build and lead a cohesive team to create top tier service to our guests.
  • Ensure all staff checklists and guest liability waivers are completed daily.
  • Answer and manage inbound telephone inquiries.
  • Always refer to OH&S standards and follow them to ensure a safe workspace.
  • Follow all resort policies and procedures and adhere to the grooming policies.
