About The Position

The Shift Supervisor oversees the operations of the restaurant during assigned periods, ensuring high standards of Speed of Service, Guest Engagement, and Profitability while adhering to Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom LLC policies and procedures. This role involves supervising the restaurant in the absence of management, strictly following cash handling policies, completing opening and closing duties, executing the Manager Travel Path, engaging guests, and professionally handling guest issues. The Shift Supervisor is also responsible for monitoring food and beverage quality, holding team members accountable to company standards, and communicating team member issues to management. Additionally, they maintain performance standards, motivate the team through positive role modeling, make appropriate decisions in a fast-paced environment, and practice responsible alcohol and food safety standards.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years old to serve alcohol or as state regulations dictate.
  • Successful completion of the FOH Shift Supervisor Program.
  • Successful completion of HR Law Room Anti-Harassment Course.
  • Successful completion of FOH Supervisor Taproom validations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise restaurant in the absence of an assistant or General Manager.
  • Strictly follow company Cash Handling Policies & Procedures expectations.
  • Complete opening and closing duties utilizing the Opening & Closing Operational Checklists.
  • Execute Manager Travel Path 4-6 times per hour during peak hours of operation.
  • Engage Guests through effective table visits and relationship building.
  • Promptly and professionally handle Guest issues/complaints using the 3 A’s of Guest Recovery.
  • Effective on Expo; ability to monitor food and beverage quality standards.
  • Hold team members accountable to our company standards.
  • Communicate all team member issues/complaints to management team through manager communication log or one-on-one.
  • Follow and understand company policies and procedures at all times.
  • Maintain performance standards and motivate team through positive role modeling and leadership.
  • Make appropriate decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Practice responsible alcohol service standards and enforce local and state liquor laws.
  • Practice safe food handling procedures and enforce safety procedures in restaurant.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
