About The Position

This job ensures service standards are met and surpassed by creating the Starbucks Experience for customers by providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. Provides direction and leadership for the shift in the absence of the Starbucks and Food Services Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Three or more years of customer service experience
  • Two years in a leadership role
  • Ability to manage the work of others

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and direction in the absence of Director of Food Services.
  • Capable of all opening and closing procedures.
  • Adhere to all cash handling procedures, deposit guidelines and necessary paperwork.
  • Assist in ordering dairy, pasty and Starbucks supplies.
  • Initiate any necessary refinement of “Barista Basics.”
  • Ability to assist in scheduling staff for weekly shifts.
  • Provide assistance in all café cleaning duties and facility maintenance such as ice machines, pastry case, espresso machine, water filtration system, freezer and refrigerator.
  • Delivers Legendary Service to all customers by acting with a “customer comes first” attitude and connecting with the customer.
  • Responds to customer needs and says thank you to every customer.
  • Anticipates customer and store needs by constantly evaluating environment and customers for cues.
  • Discover customer needs and appropriately suggests product with every customer to enhance service and meet your sales goals.
  • Assists customers in the selection and purchase of specialty coffee beverages and whole bean sales (as applicable).
  • Maintains customer service area and equipment in a clean and appealing manner.
  • Demonstrates “Just Say Yes” behavior when taking care of customer needs.
  • Provides quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards.
  • Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
  • Follows store policies and procedures for operational flow at each station.
  • Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with the Duty Rosters and cleaning standards and works as a store team player.
  • Presents oneself professionally and demonstrates clear communication with all customers and interactions with fellow associates.
  • Follows standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing all products.
  • Performs equipment maintenance in accordance with preventative maintenance checklist.
  • Follows cash handling and register policies.
  • Follows inventory stocking and recording guidelines.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Learns and demonstrates creating the Starbucks Experience.
  • Completes Initial Store Training and passes barista certification with a score of 90% or better.
  • Perform various related duties as required.
