About The Position

Valtir is hiring a 3rd shift Supervisor to support our Lima, OH manufacturing facility. This role will oversee processing activities in Galvanizing, Fabrication, and Welding, and support respective daily operations. Valtir has been an industry leader and global supplier of highway safety products for over 50 years, with core roadway product lines including guardrail, end terminals, steel barriers, crash cushions, and sign supports. The company is dedicated to bringing the next generation of innovative safety products to an ever-changing market.

Requirements

At least 3 years experience in manufacturing processes and procedures
Must be able to identify and solve complex problems using advanced technical knowledge and creativity
Knowledge of safety and quality policies/procedures
Strong ability to motivate team members
Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently including operating forklifts and cranes
Ability to function as a team member and establish and maintain effective working relationships
Computer literacy

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 3 years of management experience preferred

Responsibilities

Responsible for all processes in Galvanizing, Fabrication & Welding departments
Direct employees in meeting quality and on-time delivery requirements, address production challenges, and communicate issues to relevant managers
Monitor team productivity and provide performance evaluations, constructive feedback, mentorship, and disciplinary action when necessary
Meet all required expectations of Safety, Quality, and Production
Meet and exceed organizational goals through optimal utilization of personnel and resources
Understand the galvanizing and fabrication process and use knowledge to achieve optimal operating efficiency
Serve as a medium of communication between employees and upper management
Motivate employees by resolving issues and making sound decisions
Complete all required paperwork and inspections
Other duties as assigned
