About The Position

Miguel’s Jr. is seeking a motivated Shift Supervisor to join their team. This role is a key developmental position for future Assistant General Manager (AGM) and General Manager (GM) opportunities. The Shift Supervisor will be responsible for leading both business operations and people during their shift, working alongside the GM or AGM, or independently. This position requires fluency and active participation in all aspects of both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) operations. Miguel's Jr. emphasizes a family-like atmosphere and a purpose centered around creating positive experiences through the love of food, family, and service.

Requirements

1-2 years of supervisory experience in the food service industry.
Proficiency in oral and written communication to effectively be a team leader and member with predominantly English-speaking guests and team members.
Intermediate computer skills including MS Office: (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Excel).
High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Bilingual (Spanish) understanding and conversational proficiency are a plus.

Responsibilities

Supervise staff and their work to ensure optimum shift-to-shift performance for guests and team members.
Act as the primary resource and decision-maker for all aspects of a specific shift when working independently.
Communicate with the following shift's supervisor to ensure a prepared handover of both team and business.
Assist GM with interviewing and hiring of new Team Members.
Rally the team and personally provide exceptional Guest Service.
Enforce rules and regulations as described in the Miguel's Restaurants Employee Handbook.
Maintain office duties and paperwork as required.
