About The Position

The position is described as a retail store role focused on customer service and supporting store operations. The associate works independently and as part of a team to help customers, maintain the sales floor, and support store departments. The role may also include opening and closing activities and assisting pharmacy personnel, including working pharmacy shifts as opportunities for growth and career development arise.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by ensuring they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities for growth and career development.
Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
