Requirements

High diploma/GED required.
Forklift experience
knowledge of lean principles
previous experience supervising a team
Basic computer knowledge
Must be able to speak, read, write, understand English language.

Responsibilities

Unloads raw materials from railcars as needed
Create and plan a production schedule
Supervises 1st shift Cat Litter team
Implement / suggest process improvements
Planning and staging all required supplies and raw materials on time as to not slow production
Must maintain a safe industrial work culture, able to enforce all applicable safety requirements
Held accountable for the well-being of team members and the care of equipment
Implementation of all associated Operational Excellence goals with the packaging area
Ensure highest level of product quality
Ensuring inventory process is followed and Kanban maintained
Other duties as assigned
Operational level understanding of the OE principles and tools
Open to change and helps to encourage and advance continuous improvement
Generates ideas to improve processes and safety
Ability to perform normal work activities, sight, hearing and walking
Can effectively take on responsibilities of supervisor as required (vacations, absences, and emergencies)
Ability to work with minimal guidance/ supervision
Ability to climb ladders and stairs
Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
Mechanically inclined
Self-Motivated
Computer skills such as outlook and Microsoft Excel and Word
Continuous education as deemed necessary by the company
