The Company BEAT THE BOMB is the next generation of immersive group entertainment, where customers step into real-life video games. We use an innovative digital, interactive game system to reimagine the intersection of technology and human social connection. In our classic Mission experience, teams wearing hazmat suits go through a series of interactive game rooms, including a laser maze, before facing the World's Largest Paint, Slime, and Foam Bomb! Our original Brooklyn location opened in 2018. We now have locations in Atlanta, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Charlotte, Houston, and Denver. We've hosted over 500,000 players including hundreds of corporate team building outings, school groups, and non-profit organizations. Beat The Bomb is one of the highest rated experiences in all 5 markets. We offer a full range of special event services including STEM Camps, Kid and Adult Birthday parties, Corporate Tournaments, and Bachelorette parties. We also have a virtual team building platform called Beat The Bomb Virtual, serving remote teams across the globe. Our #1 goal is to ensure every player has a BLAST! The Atlanta Location Located in Atlanta's rapidly growing Upper Westside neighborhood, this is our 2nd location and opened in October 2022. The 10,000+ square foot location offers our classic Mission experiences with glass-walled bomb rooms; 4 immersive arcade lounges ('Game Bays'); street food and a full selection of beer, wine, cocktails & signature slushies @ The Bomb Bar; a beer garden with sports viewing; and several dedicated private event spaces for large groups. Requirements

  • Previous customer-facing experience in a bar, restaurant or entertainment facility
  • Loves people! You thrive when engaging with others... both friends and strangers alike!
  • Isn't afraid to get messy...it's a paint blast facility after all!
  • Has an interest in live experiences / digital gaming
  • Is ready to jump in and help wherever and whenever necessary! Nothing always goes as planned; you know how to keep the trains running on time
  • Has a strong aptitude for technology and/or an interest and excitement to learn
  • Leads by example
  • Is solution oriented
  • Can comfortably lead others through a fast paced, exciting working environment
  • Remains calm when faced with external pressures
  • Is friendly, outgoing and inclusive
  • Is a weekend warrior! (must be available to work 2 of 3 weekend days - Friday through Sunday)
  • Doesn't mind physical activity... our paint buckets can weigh up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Set the tone for the rest of the team with a customer focused engagement: lead by example!
  • Manage all aspects of a guest reservation
  • Opening and closing of the location and all associated responsibilities
  • Assist General Manager with scheduling as requested
  • Respond to online Customers Reviews
  • Manage special events such corporate events, school outings and kids birthdays
  • Customer Service: support as needed on all customer questions: In our facility, On the phone, Through email, Via social media
  • Responsible for facility upkeep and cleanliness
  • Monitor and report maintenance issues to the General Manager. We love hearing about potential solutions!
  • Help manage tech and gameplay issues as they arise
  • Execute all Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) Game Runner duties, including: Guest check-in and team onboarding, Making sure all customer areas are presentable and clean, Taking customer pictures
  • Manage game rooms and Bomb Room - blast customers with PAINT and FOAM!
  • Maintain a safe environment and facilitate a safe experience for our customers and fellow team members - everyone appreciates feeling taken care of!
  • Engage and have fun, then engage again and have more fun...with our customers
