Shift Supervisor
About The Position
A Shift Supervisor is a key leader who supports the CVS Store Management team in driving store execution and performance while building customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager or Operations Supervisor is onsite, the Shift Supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes opening and closing procedures. The role includes supervising and communicating with store crews, assisting customers and resolving customer relations issues in accordance with company policy, protecting customer and patient confidentiality, and maintaining merchandise presentation through pricing, stocking, promotional displays, inventory tasks, and department resets.
Requirements
- Deductive reasoning ability, analytical skills, and computer skills.
- Advanced communication and supervision skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some early morning, overnight, and weekend shifts.
- Ability to work overtime as needed and respond to urgent store issues.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a retail supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Work effectively with store management and store crews.
- Supervise store crew by assigning, directing, and following up on activities.
- Communicate information to and from store management and crews.
- Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints.
- Promote CVS customer service practices by greeting customers, offering help, and thanking them.
- Handle customer relations issues according to company policy and promote a positive shopping experience.
- Maintain customer and patient confidentiality.
- Price merchandise and stock shelves.
- Execute displays, signage, and inventory for weekly, promotional, and seasonal merchandise.
- Execute and maintain off-shelf merchandise displays.
- Reset departments following planograms (POGs).
- Lead store staff and ensure smooth operations when no manager or Operations Supervisor is onsite.
- Complete store opening and closing procedures.
