Experienced Shift Supervisor
About The Position
As Shift Supervisor you will be performing a variety of functions for your assigned shift. You will be providing direction to the on-duty Security Officers of their job requirements, priorities of work, and coordinating any necessary needs of the site. If you have leadership skills and experience this role could be a great fit for you. A Shift Supervisor will need to provide an elevated level of professionalism and specialization for their assignments, help safeguard people, property, and information. The successful candidate will show strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and initiative-taking approach to managing the shift.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma, GED, OR ability to complete the GED program within 6 months.
- Above average computer / technology skills needed.
- Impeccable customer service and team leadership skills needed.
- Must be able to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
- Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
- All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Security.
- Must be dependable.
- Must have the ability to motivate and inspire.
- Must have the ability to train officers and ensure all policies are adhered to.
- Must have the ability to meet deadlines.
- Must have above average communication skills.
- Driver's License needed.
- PERC Card needed.
- Must be flexible with schedule when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring that all post orders are followed, established rounds are completed, and needed reports are filed.
- Notifying proper authorities, clients, and Securitas management in emergency situations.
- Coaching and disciplining personnel as appropriate; seeking advice from Securitas management or designated representatives as appropriate; meeting personally with employees and documenting coaching and disciplinary actions.
- Training Security Officers with functions of their positions, reviewing site post orders, and other details of their position.
- Ensuring adequate coverage of all posts and positions while on duty.
- Preparing, filing, and submitting various reports as needed.
- Inspecting posts and meeting with on duty Security Officers to ensure tasks and responsibilities are being completed.
- Performing supervisory duties that can include training employees, assigning tasks during shift, directing work, coaching, addressing issues, and resolving problems, following applicable company policies and procedures and in compliance with state and federal laws.
- May perform the duties of a Security Officer in accord with post orders and company policy.
