Position Summary Guided by a belief in extensive data analysis and a commitment to collaborative global relationships, the Water Treatment and Reclamation (WTR) team is responsible for providing continuous, safe and high quality utilities to our semiconductor factory (Fab). At our water and wastewater plants on the Samsung Semiconductor campus in Taylor, Texas, our Operations teams’ drive for sustainability and operational excellence is balanced by our need to adopt tomorrow’s technologies to ensure plant resilience, environmental stewardship, and the safety of our staff. The Industrial Wastewater Supervisor oversees the daily operation and maintenance of water treatment equipment at the Samsung semiconductor campus to ensure safe, sustainable, and high-quality utility services. This role is responsible for leading shift activities, troubleshooting process issues, and maintaining strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures. Additionally, the supervisor focuses on team development through coaching, conflict resolution, and collaborative strategic planning with the engineering team.

Requirements

2-year degree preferred.
A or B TCEQ WWT Operators license.
8+ years of experience in an industrial facilities environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Demonstrated experience in leading and managing technicians within a facilities environment.
Familiarity with Ultrapure Water and Industrial Wastewater technology.
6+ years of experience in a facilities environment.
Strong technical background – with particular ability to understand, troubleshoot, and optimize industrial process systems.

Responsibilities

Leading and tracking all shift activities.
Promoting a safe work environment using a process safety mindset.
Fully owning, maintaining and operating IWT equipment within the guidance provided.
Monitoring system performance, while also finding opportunities for safety, quality or cost improvements.
Preliminary troubleshooting, inspection, and field data collection of equipment and process issues.
Communicating and escalating issues to the leadership team, and collaborating with our engineers for resolution.
Defining the plant’s priorities for breakdown maintenance, repairs and replacements.
Training, executing, and ensuring compliance to Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintaining and improving existing Standard Operating Procedures including the Certification documentation and process.
Coach, mentor, and provide development opportunities for each member of the Operations team through a collaborative career mapping approach that also supports Samsung’s organizational objectives.
Lead conflict resolution within a multi-disciplinary team, fostering a culture of collaboration across the team, department and company.
Support the team to prioritize daily tasks, approving and prioritizing external support requests.
In collaboration with our Engineering team, define both the technological and people roadmap for our site.
