About The Position
The Shift Runner performs general duties involving the operation of equipment; stocking and rotating ingredients from delivery to storage, work areas, and walk-in coolers; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone and internet orders; counting inventory; completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. The role includes on-the-job training in customer service, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice. Customer service requires verbal and written communication with customers and coworkers by phone and in person. Delivery-related duties require safely driving one's own vehicle and navigating roads, maps, adverse terrain, and stairs at delivery sites while carrying products.
Requirements
- Ability to perform arithmetic accurately to make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers by phone and in person.
- Ability to safely drive one's own vehicle and navigate roads, maps, adverse terrain, and stairs while carrying products.
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, lift, carry, push, climb ladders or stairs, stoop or bend, crouch or squat, reach, and grasp with hands to use machines, tools, equipment, and work aids.
- Ability to tolerate varying temperatures and conditions inside and outside.
