About The Position

The Shift Runner performs duties involving operation of all equipment; stocking and rotating ingredients from delivery to storage, work areas, and the walk-in cooler; preparing products; receiving and processing telephone and internet orders; counting inventory and completing paperwork; and cleaning equipment and the facility. The role includes on-the-job training through customer-service orientation, an interactive computer program, and hands-on practice.

The position requires customer service communication with customers and co-workers by phone and in person. Delivery duties include safely driving the employee’s own vehicle, navigating roads and maps, traversing adverse terrain and stairs at delivery sites, and carrying products. Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing ladders or stairs, stooping or bending, crouching or squatting, reaching, grasping, and tolerating varying temperatures and conditions indoors and outdoors.

Requirements

• Ability to comprehend and communicate verbally and in writing with customers and co-workers over the phone and in person.
• Ability to safely drive own vehicle and navigate roads and maps.
• Ability to traverse adverse terrain and stairs at delivery sites while carrying products.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately to make correct monetary change; a calculator may be used.
• Ability to perform the listed physical activities and tolerate varying temperatures and conditions inside and outside.
