About The Position

Wendy's of Western VA, Inc. opened its first restaurant in 1975 and has since grown to 13 locations across western Virginia, committed to high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. The company values its crew and management as its most important asset and key to continued growth. Wendy's of Western Virginia is a locally owned franchise seeking energetic Shift Managers to assist in managing staff and operations at their Roanoke and Lynchburg locations. They offer extensive skills training, multiple bonus programs, and opportunities for promotion, with many General Managers starting as Shift Managers. The company is looking for motivated individuals interested in advancing to various management positions, including Store General Manager.

Requirements

Restaurant/Retail experience (Experienced in serving customers)
Ability to work flexible schedules that may include late nights and Breakfast (Most Drive-Thru’s open till Midnight)
Customer Service Skills, Effective Communication, Leadership/Organizational Skills.
The Shift Managers must be able to stand for long periods without a break, and be able to travel to the bank, other restaurants, Area Office, etc.
Reliability is a MUST.

Responsibilities

Work with your team to create a restaurant of choice by providing the best food in a friendly and fast paced environment.
Properly managing your shift by using Wendy’s Systems.
Manage, empower, and assist your team in achieving organizational goals that support our collective goal of "Service Excellence” for every customer that we serve.
The ability to perform HR duties for your employees in a way that maximizes employee engagement and retention.
The opportunity to interview and recommend candidates for selection in order to achieve proper staffing levels.
Provide A+ training for every employee through our established systems.
Assist General Manager with administrative tasks.
Ensure all food safety procedures are executed at a high level, in accordance with both Company and Health Department standards.
