About The Position

The Shift Manager Sportsbook is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Sportsbook department during their assigned shift. This includes approving, limiting, and/or denying wagers, scheduling of staff, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements

Minimum one (1) year prior cashiering/money handling experience preferred.
Previous supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
Must be computer competent with the aptitude to learn new systems.
Ability to work well under pressure.

Nice To Haves

Thorough understanding of wagers, odds, and bet types for sporting events.
Knowledge of major leagues, teams, and player news.

Responsibilities

Oversee Sportsbook Ticket Writers, ensuring all sports wagering activity follows company guidelines.
Assist with the training and the overall day-to-day development of Sportsbook Ticket Writers.
Verify that all cash drawers are accurately maintained and reconciled daily.
Address escalated customer disputes, questions and other concerns.
Maintain a thorough understanding of wagers, odds, and bet types for sporting events. Stay apprised of major leagues, teams and player news.
Effectively communicate wagering rules to patrons.
Track unusual betting patterns that may indicate guideline violations.
Identify and report any customer who may be at risk of Responsible Gaming issues and advise accordingly.
Ensure all activities comply with all state and federal gaming regulations and effectively monitor Sportsbook activity for regulatory violations.
