About The Position

Working closely with the Director of Slots and the Slot Operations Manager, the Slot Shift Manager will play an important role by overseeing the Slot department's day-to-day operations. This role involves supervising staff, managing the daily operations of a designated shift, and ensuring adherence to customer service standards. The Shift Manager will also be involved in witnessing jackpot wins, authorizing payments, communicating with customers, implementing casino procedures, and providing feedback on operational efficiencies. Additionally, the role includes supervising, coaching, and disciplining team members, as well as managing scheduling with a focus on guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum age requirement is 21.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to coach, develop, counsel and discipline subordinates.
  • Knowledge of slot equipment.
  • Excellent computer and organizational skills.
  • Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification, specifically a Nevada Gaming license.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1-year experience in a Slot Supervisory position preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience within a hotel/gaming property is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising staff and the overall daily management of a designated shift in the Slots department.
  • Supporting, administering, and managing operational goals and monitoring achievements of performance and profit objectives.
  • Ensuring customer service standards are followed by all team members and addressing issues as they arise.
  • Witnessing all major jackpot wins, signing jackpot checks, and providing authorizing/verifying signature for jackpot payments, when applicable, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Communicating with customers to answer questions and resolve disputes.
  • Implementing all Casino procedures relating to slot operations and monitoring areas for cleanliness.
  • Providing feedback on procedures for efficiencies.
  • Reviewing internal controls relative to the movement of sensitive materials on the slot floor.
  • Communicating long-term goals and direction to the Slot department.
  • Supervising, coaching, counseling, and disciplining Team Members.
  • Responsible for scheduling and coordinating with manager regarding any concerns, with attention to guest satisfaction.
  • Performing other job duties as requested.
