About The Position

This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Under general supervision, the Maintenance Technician will perform a wide variety of semi-skilled and skilled tasks associated with maintenance, troubleshooting, HVAC, Motor Repairs, Welding, Machine repair and modification to the plants mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and plumbing systems and equipment. Specific tasks will depend upon area of assignment and skill level. All positions will require successful completion of Lockout/Tagout and Fall Arrest/Prevention training as well as all Maintenance Training Levels. May perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Resume must be attached to Internal Application with Related Work History and or experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED from accredit institution.
  • Excellent safety record (no safety violations within previous 12-month period).
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret equipment, general safety procedures, to ensure the safety of our team members.
  • Must have completed their 90-day probationary period.
  • No suspension in the previous 12 months.
  • Must have three (3) points or fewer on attendance and maintain three (3) points or fewer.
  • Must be able to work in ANY Area / Dept. Assigned either in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment.
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be able to communicate well with others, comprehend Training Material as well as complete necessary paperwork as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment and company assets.
  • Experience in HVAC, Motor Repairs, Welding, Machine repair and modification to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and plumbing systems and equipment.
