About The Position

Sprout is opening a new restaurant in Clontarf this Autumn and is looking for brilliant leaders to join the team. This role is for full-time availability only. Shift Leaders play a significant role in the restaurant's atmosphere for both the team and customers. The position involves leading shifts from the front, managing busy periods, and ensuring the team feels supported and customers are well-cared for. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with people, take initiative, and are looking to develop their leadership skills.

Requirements

Around 1 year of experience in hospitality or another fast-paced environment.
Ability to take on more responsibility.
Confident communication skills with team members and customers.
A genuine desire to develop leadership skills.
Reliability and ability to be counted on by teammates.
Curiosity and openness to feedback.
Ability to bring good energy and willingness to actively participate.

Nice To Haves

Experience in a leadership role is not required, but readiness to step up is key.

Responsibilities

Lead the shift, setting the team up for success by ensuring everyone knows their role and keeping operations moving.
Create a great customer experience by making customers feel welcome and looked after, and by resolving any issues that arise.
Support the team by being a point of contact, communicating clearly, providing real-time feedback, and helping build confidence.
Maintain a positive restaurant environment through good communication, teamwork, recognition, and fun.
Uphold standards for food quality, portioning, presentation, cleanliness, and the overall restaurant appearance.
Ensure the restaurant is ready for service by staying on top of checklists, displays, cleanliness, and maintenance tasks.
Listen to customer feedback, identify recurring issues, and communicate observations to the Restaurant Leader for continuous improvement.
Champion safety by ensuring food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards are understood and followed.
