The Shift Leader assists in the overall operations of the Emergency Shelter. The Shift Leader supervises a team of Resident Aides/Intake Coordinators and ensures compliance with all state and city regulations and agency policies and procedures. The Shift Leader supports and assists the Resident Aide/Intake Coordinator in aiding with clients’ basic needs and the overall well-being of clients. This is a 24-hour program. Shift Leaders are classified as essential workers, and as such accept responsibility for the completion of their critical services to clients, on site, even during times of emergency. These include, but are not limited to, emergencies caused by weather, nationwide pandemics, civil unrest, and domestic threat.
