About The Position

Jersey Mike's has been serving up fresh-made subs with a smile since 1956. Requirements

  • Proven experience in a quick service, fast-food, or similar restaurant environment.
  • Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience in the hospitality or food service industry.
  • Familiarity with POS systems for transaction processing and reporting.
  • Experience with inventory control, food safety standards, and food production processes.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must obtain ServSafe Food Manager Certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Energetic, hard-working, and ethical with a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to all company policies and procedures.
  • A team-first mindset and willingness to support and uplift others.
  • Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude and dedication to delivering excellent customer service in every interaction.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior involvement in shift management, staff training, or assistant manager responsibilities is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Greet every customer with energy, engage in genuine conversation, and make each visit memorable.
  • Take orders accurately and process payments through the POS system and cash register.
  • Lead shift operations and hold high standards for food prep, presentation, and safety.
  • Prepare hot and cold subs to customer specs following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Train new hires, coach the team in real time, and keep crew morale high.
  • Monitor stock levels, minimize waste, and flag inventory needs to management.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely, including knives, grills, and slicers.
  • Keep the restaurant clean: tables, floors, utensils, and restrooms.
  • Ensure health code and food safety compliance at all times.
  • Support management with day-to-day operational needs.
  • Resolve customer complaints professionally and in line with Jersey Mike’s standards.
  • Wear the required uniform and uphold company dress code standards.
