Responsible and accountable for supervising and supporting a productive and profitable restaurant, including Guest satisfaction, food quality and portioning, Team Member efficiency, and safety and security. The Shift Leader is personally accountable for the C.O.R.E. 5 and supports the General Manager (GM) and Assistant Manager (AM) in holding Team Members accountable for the C.O.R.E. 5. This role involves interacting with Guests, Team Members, and Management, maintaining restaurant cleanliness, high food quality standards, resolving Guest complaints, and ensuring proper Guest service according to Rubio’s standards. The Shift Leader supervises Team Members, assigns them to appropriate positions, and opens and/or closes the restaurant according to Rubio’s standards. They supervise Front of the House and Back of the House Team Members, ensuring priorities are followed, and provide performance feedback to Management. The Shift Leader also works in positions such as cashier, expediter, or cook when not performing Management duties, and performs non-Management duties as required, including cleaning, stocking, and maintaining standards.
