About The Position

Cheba Hut Shift Leaders run the floor, supervising the crew during their shifts and setting the tone for food quality, food safety, cleanliness, and customer experience while coaching the team. The role reports to the General Manager and works closely with the Assistant General Manager. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Shop-first and customer-first mindset, integrity, and self-direction.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to have difficult conversations.
Ability to manage competing priorities and stay calm under pressure.
State-required food safety certification, or ability to obtain it.
Ability to lift 47 lbs, stand for up to 10 hours, and work shifts of up to 10 hours.
Comfort with a cannabis-themed culture.

Nice To Haves

Previous shift lead, key holder, or restaurant leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Uphold the “Big 4”: atmosphere, cleanliness, interaction, and product quality.
Lead, motivate, and coach the crew through recognition and accountability while working alongside them.
Run smooth shifts by completing the Battle Plan, assigning people to positions, and adjusting plans when busy or short-staffed.
Maintain food safety and freshness by writing prep and stock lists to PARs, completing line checks, following F.I.F.O., and maintaining the waste log.
Ensure orders are accurate and meet Cheba Hut ticket times.
Meet SPMH and labor targets.
Apply standards consistently and keep shop leadership informed.
