About The Position

The Shift Leader supervises shifts and/or work areas in a Papa John’s restaurant to ensure high-quality products and customer service and support restaurant profitability. The role manages restaurant operations by executing Company policies, procedures, programs, and systems, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and ethical business practices.

The Shift Leader performs assigned station duties and supports product preparation, customer service, shift coverage, product quality, cleanliness, cost control, cash management, and inventory management. The role provides immediate feedback and addresses problems as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Follow station guidelines, techniques, and expectations, including dough management, accuracy, and proper portioning.
• Perform assigned station duties, prepare quality products according to procedures, and maintain established product holding times.
• Contribute to achieving the Company’s product goal.
• Meet customer needs and expectations, minimize customer complaints, and respond appropriately to customer needs.
• Follow team member handbook policies and procedures, including those related to image, attendance, safety, and security.
• Exemplify the Core Values, maintain a positive attitude, work well with others, and adapt to change.
• Ensure adequate shift coverage for the restaurant.
• Provide immediate feedback and correct problems when identified.
• Maintain product quality, customer service, performance standards, MCE readiness, food and labor costs, and restaurant cleanliness.
• Follow shift management policies and procedures.
• Contribute to profit goals by staying within Company guidelines and target goals and accurately using the FOCUS System.
• Execute cash management duties.
• Assist in maintaining adequate inventory levels using Company systems and guidelines to minimize loss.
• Execute Company policies, procedures, programs, and systems and ensure compliance with applicable laws and ethical business practices.
