About The Position

On July 1, 2025, IPL Plastics merged with Schoeller Allibert to form IPL Schoeller (the ‘company’). The Company’s operations are split across North America (11 manufacturing plants) and Europe (16 manufacturing plants). The company is headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. IPL Schoeller is a leading manufacturer of sustainable rigid packaging solutions across a range of end market segments including returnable transit packaging, consumer and industrial packaging, environmental containers and agricultural packaging. The company employs c.4,100 employees across North America (1,600 employees) and Europe (2,500 employees.) This role is for the 3rd Shift, working from 10:30pm to 7:00am.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • At least 5 years of experience in injection molding, preferably in the plastics industry.
  • 1-2 years of Management/Leadership experience.
  • Oral and Written Communication skills.
  • Must be able to read, write and comprehend written materials and perform basic math functions.
  • Possess good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be able to work assigned shifts and days, including weekdays/weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Must be able to twist, bend, pivot, squat, kneel and climb.

Responsibilities

  • Directing the work of the Molding Department employees.
  • Interpreting work orders to ensure jobs are set up properly before production.
  • Reviewing quality defects with the Quality representative and making adjustments to equipment/machines to resolve issues.
  • Monitoring cycle times to ensure equipment runs at optimal levels.
  • Overseeing all mold changes and processing adjustments, ensuring Technicians perform duties safely and according to procedures.
  • Reviewing the production schedule at the beginning of each shift to ensure proper machines are running to meet production demands based on employee resources.
  • Completing necessary reports and forms to track production performance, employee attendance, machine efficiency, scrap rates, and other KPI-related factors.
  • Overseeing all daily department operations, including scheduling and supervision of employees and assigning daily work instructions.
  • Establishing and maintaining adequate records to track inventory coming into and leaving the department on a perpetual basis.
  • Maintaining the department in a clean, organized, and safe manner.
  • Troubleshooting Molding equipment to determine root cause of issues and resolve them efficiently.
  • Overseeing the training of employees on the shift.
  • Communicating issues with management and molding employees on other shifts.
  • Ensuring the quality of the product packed on all lines.
  • Checking the work of employees on the shift to ensure it is completed correctly.
  • Complying with SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards by promoting a food safety culture.
  • Reporting any safety concerns.
  • Following all Safety Rules and Regulations.
  • Proactive participation in daily housekeeping requirements.
  • Caring for and reporting required maintenance of any equipment, work tools, and safety equipment.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
