Requirements

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers/vendors, or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common‑sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) Certification.

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties.

Responsibilities

  • Comply with safety work rules at all times and reinforce Safety as a Core Value.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, and activities related to Food Safety & Quality are consistently followed to reduce product and process variability.
  • Direct the activities of Pre‑Cooked Department employees engaged in the manufacture of egg patties and omelets.
  • Develop work schedules and assignments to meet production goals.
  • Coordinate on‑the‑job training for new hires and transferred employees.
  • Provide relief to other Pre‑Cooked Department Lead Persons and Processing Supervisors.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy workplace for everyone. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and health into all jobs and tasks.
  • Adhere to Quality work practices, follow GMPs, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety or quality.
  • Perform all duties and responsibilities of other Pre‑Cooked Department Lead Persons (i.e., 3rd Floor, and 4th Floor).
  • Ensure proper and consistent communication between floors, departments, and shifts.
  • Have thorough knowledge of and perform daily and weekly start‑up and shutdown procedures for Doboy, ovens, spiral freezers, etc.
  • Be knowledgeable in all customer specifications and able to perform weight/quality checks, metal detector checks, and corresponding computer and/or paperwork, including entering data into the Infinity QS system.
  • Determine if product meets proper specifications and take corrective action when needed.
  • Confer with the Processing Supervisor and/or subordinates to resolve employee problems, complaints, or grievances.
  • Tolerate temperature variations in all areas of the Pre‑Cooked Department throughout the entire shift.
  • Attend seminars and training that enhance professional competence.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes good working relationships with customers, clients, co‑workers, and management.
  • Perform basic maintenance on equipment and assist Maintenance in troubleshooting and making repairs.
  • Make decisions and perform the job responsibilities of the Processing Supervisor in their absence.
  • Follow safe work practices, adhere to GMP and HACCP guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure product quality is maintained to support SQF Level 3 certification. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality, or personnel safety.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
