This is a frontline role focused on leading the fill operation to ensure the salesfloor is ready for trading. The Shift Lead takes operational responsibility for coordinating resources to Serve, Sell, and Fill, and leads the floor in the absence of the Colleague Manager. The role involves coaching colleagues on 'One Best Way', driving productivity, allocating resources for efficient payment experiences, and ensuring daily operational processes are implemented efficiently. The Shift Lead also coordinates the team to maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented store, fosters a positive team atmosphere, role models great customer service and M&S behaviors, and supports Colleague Managers by sharing observations. Additionally, the role involves being a key holder, answering call-outs, and performing tasks related to opening and closing the building, including vehicle receipt, temperature controls, logging operational issues, cash handling, and TSL compliance during peripheral hours.
