The Shift Lead role involves performing the duties of a Client Services Coordinator or Vet Assistant, and when not performing those duties, assisting the Practice Manager or Chief of Staff in guiding the team to maximize the productivity and profitability of the hospital. This position collaborates with the Practice Manager and/or Chief of Staff (COS) to ensure effective communication with all clients, internal stakeholders, and colleagues. The ideal candidate will assist and support hospital leadership in developing an efficient, productive team that provides the highest quality care and service to pets and clients, while adhering to Banfield protocols and practices. This role focuses the team on achieving practice priorities, building culture and brand, and provides day-to-day supervision when needed, ensuring quality medical care, exceptional client service, associate engagement, and maximum productivity. The Shift Lead helps create an environment where quality, efficient, and effective veterinary care is delivered, fostering associate engagement and a positive team atmosphere. They provide professional, efficient, and exceptional client service by example, ensuring all associates do the same. This includes client education on Optimum Wellness Plans, preventive care, pet health needs, hospital services, marketing campaigns, and resolving client issues. The Shift Lead also assists in effectively scheduling associates to meet client needs, proactively planning time off and CE scheduling, and ensuring compliance with all practice policies and procedures, including Banfield's dress and grooming guidelines.
