About The Position

The Shift Lead is responsible for organizing shift schedules, assigning duties, training team members, handling customer issues, and ensuring adherence to company policies and health/safety standards. This role also involves managing cash drawers, preparing deposits, opening/closing the restaurant, and overseeing various operational aspects including guest responses, catering logistics, food safety (HAACP, Steritech), and facility maintenance. The Shift Lead supports orientation and training for both Front of House (FOH) and Back of House (BOH) teams and assumes other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Food Handler permit
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Proven experience as a supervisor, preferably in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and safety standards
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask in a busy kitchen
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
  • Finger dexterity
  • Ability to talk, especially to convey detailed or important instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly
  • Adequate hearing to respond to alarms, signals, and other sounds
  • Good eyesight (sharp near vision, peripheral vision)
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs)

  • Assigning and following up on daily/weekly facility duties (store cleanliness, equipment tracking)
  • Supporting orientation and training for FOH/BOH team members
  • Assuming responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
