About The Position

Flying Tiger Copenhagen is seeking a Shift Lead who is a motivated and hands-on leader, passionate about retail and customer experience. This person thrives in a dynamic environment and can support, inspire, and guide the team on the floor and in back-of-house operations, while delivering a fun and engaging in-store experience. The Shift Lead will be responsible for delivering a fun, engaging, and memorable customer experience aligned with Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s brand, acting as a role model on the sales floor, supporting the team in driving sales and customer engagement, and coaching and supporting team members to achieve individual and store sales targets. They will set clear expectations and ensure team accountability during shifts, maximize sales opportunities by guiding behaviors on both the sales floor and in the back-of-house (BOH), and support team development through ongoing coaching and on-the-job training. Additionally, the Shift Lead will assist in analyzing store performance and contributing to action plans to improve results, communicate effectively with the team and management to ensure alignment on priorities, and support the execution of company policies, procedures, and operational standards. They will also assist with inventory management, stock flow, and back-of-house organization, ensure visual merchandising standards are maintained and aligned with brand guidelines, help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment, and support loss prevention, safety, and compliance with company policies. The role also involves assisting in controlling store expenses and optimizing resources, and processing transactions accurately and efficiently using POS systems.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of retail experience (fast-paced or high-volume environment preferred)
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role is an asset
  • Strong ability to drive sales and achieve KPIs
  • Solid understanding of retail metrics, with the ability to respond to business needs
  • Comfortable making decisions and supporting conflict resolution within a team
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for customer service and team development
  • Ability to identify and support the growth of top talent
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Flexible availability (evenings, weekends, and holidays)
  • Ability to lift and move merchandise (up to ~50 lbs) as needed
  • Comfortable using ladders or step stools
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and carrying items
