About The Position
We at McCrum have an immediate opening for a full-time Shift Electrician in our Washburn, Maine potato processing facility.
Requirements
- A valid State of Maine Journeyman or Master Electrician license (or the ability to obtain one).
- Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics/blueprints and using diagnostic tools (multimeters, ammeters, etc.).
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb for a 12-hour shift and lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort working 12-hour shifts.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on complex food processing machinery, including 3-phase motors, sensors, and automated controls.
- Service and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other instrumentation devices.
- Install and maintain conduit, wiring, lighting, and electrical panels throughout the facility.
- Perform scheduled inspections and testing of electrical systems to prevent downtime.
- Complete preventative maintenance work orders daily to ensure optimal operation of electrical equipment.
- Strictly adhere to safety procedures and NEC standards to ensure a safe working environment.
