Requirements

Minimum of 2+ years of manufacturing experience
Understanding of manufacturing safety standards
Proficient user of Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word and Excel.
Basic understanding of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) management systems to include general safety rules, personal protective equipment, hazard recognition, behavioral based safety, incident reporting requirements, and environmental regulations
Practical Understanding of EHS and quality systems
Self-starter with integrity and self-confidence, who can work with limited supervision.
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks while dealing with shifting priorities
Self-reliant, with strong attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal, influencing, and teamwork skills; comfortable engaging others as necessary to complete assignments.
Ability to follow strict test procedures and maintain objective attitude towards testing results.
Strong organizational and time management skills to schedule and monitor work activity and adjust as needed to meet commitments.
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with customers.
Ability to apply basic math and numeric reasoning to solve problems.

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing / quality related experience preferred.
Oracle, QTS, and ETQ system knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess daily production schedules and plan to ensure uninterrupted flow as well as fulfillment of customer delivery requirements.
Coordinate the day-to-day activities of team members.
Provide the necessary support, training, and troubleshooting to ensure an effective team.
Prepare standardized work procedures and facilitate effective communication of procedures to affected areas.
Develop training documents and facilitate training; assist in trouble shooting issues.
Troubleshoot and intervene as needed to address and resolve disruptions as quickly as possible in order to maintain product flow.
Establish appropriate channels of feedback to inform upstream departments of defects.
Review/update completed nonconforming reports for accuracy and publish KPI metrics as assigned daily.
Lead and/or participate in improvements activities
Responsible for 5s activities for assigned area.
Monitor performance and provide feedback to Manager.
Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL.
Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
