Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Understanding of manufacturing safety standards
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word and Excel.
  • Basic understanding of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) management systems to include general safety rules, personal protective equipment, hazard recognition, behavioral based safety, incident reporting requirements, and environmental regulations
  • Practical Understanding of EHS and quality systems
  • Self-starter with integrity and self-confidence, who can work with limited supervision.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks while dealing with shifting priorities
  • Self-reliant, with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and teamwork skills; comfortable engaging others as necessary to complete assignments.
  • Ability to follow strict test procedures and maintain objective attitude towards testing results.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to schedule and monitor work activity and adjust as needed to meet commitments.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with customers.
  • Ability to apply basic math and numeric reasoning to solve problems.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing / quality related experience preferred.
  • Oracle, QTS, and ETQ system knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess daily production schedules and plan to ensure uninterrupted flow as well as fulfillment of customer delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of team members.
  • Provide the necessary support, training, and troubleshooting to ensure an effective team.
  • Prepare standardized work procedures and facilitate effective communication of procedures to affected areas.
  • Develop training documents and facilitate training; assist in trouble shooting issues.
  • Troubleshoot and intervene as needed to address and resolve disruptions as quickly as possible in order to maintain product flow.
  • Establish appropriate channels of feedback to inform upstream departments of defects.
  • Review/update completed nonconforming reports for accuracy and publish KPI metrics as assigned daily.
  • Lead and/or participate in improvements activities
  • Responsible for 5s activities for assigned area.
  • Monitor performance and provide feedback to Manager.
  • Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies of AFL.
  • Perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
