This is a full-time, FLSA non-exempt position with the Carson City Sheriff's Office. Under general supervision, responsible for assisting customers with the completion of civil paperwork, fingerprints, concealed weapons permits, temporary protective orders, stalking and harassment orders, work permits, eviction notices and other law enforcement programs. Assignments may be in either the Civil Division or the Detention Facility. Employees assigned to the Detention Facility may be required to work varied shifts including nights/swing shift, weekends, and holidays. Employees may choose between the following: Employer-Paid PERS Retirement: $23.1543 - $32.4161 hourly / $48,160.84 - $67,425.54 annually Employee/Employer-Paid PERS Retirement: $27.9331 - $39.1064 hourly / $58,100.90 - $81,341.26 annually Bi-lingual employees are eligible to receive additional payment of 2.5% of the employee's base pay once passing the bi-lingual test, in accordance with the current collective bargaining agreement.
