Shelter Veterinarian for Non-Profit

Valley Oak Spca CorporationVisalia, CA
Hybrid

About The Position

Join the largest and busiest non-profit no-kill rescue and veterinary clinic in Tulare County. Our team is friendly, positive, and professional. We are proud to say that we love what we do each day and it shows in our work quality. We are searching for a veterinarian that wants to join our team serving clients and their pets in the central valley. We have a great demand for medical exams for new and existing clients, dental procedures, surgeries including but not limited to spays and neuters, enucleations, amputations, mass removals and our very popular vaccination clinic. Valley Oak SPCA has been a No-Kill Rescue since 2016 and we regularly pull animals from local animal control facilities with high euthanasia rates. These municipal shelters look to us for help with their major medical cases. We also take owner-surrendered animals and strays. We proudly adopt out over 1000 animals per year. Many cats and dogs are waiting for their forever homes but must be spayed/neutered before they can go to their new home. We also partner with the Visalia Feral Cat Coalition and perform many spays and neuters for feral cats. With the overpopulation of companion pets in our area, your job security is surely guaranteed. In the near future, our goals will be to relocate on our newly purchased 16.5 acres where our clinic and our Adoption Center will operate under one roof. Our brand new digital x-ray machine system will also be be fully operational at the new location. We are growing rapidly and this necessitates the need for additional help.
