TITLE: FVC Shelter Support Specialist Reports To: FVC Shelter Manager CLASSIFICATION: Part time Hourly POSITION SUMMARY Provide support to the clients in the Domestic Violence Shelter maintaining the safety and security of the individuals in the shelter, adhering to shelter policies, and ensuring smooth operation of the facility in order to provide an exceptional living experience for the residents while maintaining the highest standards and consistently meeting or exceeding compliance thresholds ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Manage daily shelter operations including meal planning, ordering food and supplies, completing routine cleaning details. Distribute and provide clients with necessary supplies as needed or per request. Ensure safety of shelter and adherence to outlined shelter policies, complete routine safety checks and respond to safety needs including repairs in a timely manner. Effective communication by providing timely updates on emergencies and/or priority situations. Maintain accurate, confidential records of clients including data entry and compile reports as required. Respond to incoming crisis line calls, enter caller details and situational information in database. Utilize trauma-informed care during all client interactions, in support of their adjustment to the shelter environment.
