About The Position

The Shelfer/Expo is responsible for maintaining organized inventory and storage areas while also supporting kitchen operations by expediting food orders. This position ensures products are properly stocked and rotated, and that food is delivered accurately, timely, and according to Saltgrass Steak House quality standards. The Shelfer/Expo plays a critical role in supporting efficient restaurant operations and exceptional guest experiences.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Restaurant experience preferred.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred.

Responsibilities

Receive, unload, and organize deliveries.
Stock shelves, coolers, freezers, and storage areas.
Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe storage areas.
Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to management.
Assist with inventory counts and audits.
Ensure products are properly stored and labeled.
Follow company food safety and sanitation standards.
Coordinate communication between kitchen and front-of-house team members.
Inspect completed orders for accuracy, presentation, and quality.
Ensure food is prepared and served according to restaurant standards.
Organize and expedite food orders to ensure timely service.
Verify special requests and modifications are completed correctly.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo line.
Assist in resolving order issues and communicating corrections to kitchen staff.
Support teamwork during peak business periods.
