About The Position

The Shelf Stocker is responsible for accurately keeping track of inventory records of food products at the Great Lake Naval Training Center. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of storerooms, rotating stock using the FIFO procedure, and handling the receiving of vendor orders. The position also requires assisting with inventory counts and food ordering, reporting defective equipment, and ensuring storeroom safety and organization.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have valid driver’s license, necessary insurance and be able to legally operate a Goodwill vehicle.
  • Operate equipment essential to performance of job.
  • Basic mathematic skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the cleanliness, orderliness and safety of the storerooms.
  • Rotating stock and following the first in first out (FIFO) procedure.
  • Completing the Daily JOD Checklist.
  • Receiving of vendor orders, inspecting products for quality, verifying quantity to match invoices, and reconciling electronic vendor invoices.
  • Returning all unused items to the assigned storeroom.
  • Assisting in store room inventory for 10-day inventory.
  • Assisting in cutting of cycle day food ordering.
  • Reporting all defective equipment to appropriate supervisor.
  • Inspecting store room for safety, organization and fire prevention.
  • Other duties as assigned.
