Shelf Merchandiser- Commissary - 29 Palms - P/T - 15 hrs p/w
About The Position
This position requires the tasks to be outlined below at a commissary store in a retail environment. The shelf merchandiser position is a physically demanding position. While performing the duties of this job, one is regularly required to spend a significant amount of time at work standing, walking, lifting heavy objects. In addition, it requires one to do a great deal of stretching and bending, often in awkward positions and require the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly. Generally works indoors in a typical grocery store environment. Is exposed to drafts, heat, (e.g. combination controlled temperatures/climates and weather conditions. Walk in freezers and chilled areas), noise, and dust.
Requirements
- Must have military base access.
- Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening.

- Existing military base access strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Replenish shelves, end caps and displays with products daily
- Straighten merchandise to give a neat, full appearance
- Rotate products on the shelves LIFO
- Move product from the warehouse to the sales floor
- Dispose of all packaging and boxes for our brands
- Consolidate and organize pallets in warehouse
- Check for and remove expired product from shelves
- Maintain a clean work area in warehouse
- Observe company's safety rules and guidelines
- Know company brands and its products
- Perform other tasks as assigned
