A Shelf Mechanic is responsible for various mechanical maintenance and repairs on offshore facilities. This role involves operating offshore production facilities, testing, calibrating, maintaining, and inspecting equipment, and performing mandatory paperwork. The mechanic will troubleshoot and maintain turbine compressors, generators, gas/diesel generators, compressors, and reciprocating equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.). Proficiency in computer use for maintenance tasks and familiarity with subsea equipment are also required. The position emphasizes maintaining platform organization, excellent interpersonal communication skills in a team environment, and a strong safety orientation with a focus on compliance. Additionally, the role includes creating policies and procedures for the maintenance, testing, and inspections of offshore lifeboats, and applying technical mechanical skills for maintenance tasks.
