Sheetmetal Worker - Maintenance
About The Position
Radial Solutions Inc., (RSi) is seeking a Sheetmetal Worker - Maintenance to support NASA's Marshall Engineering Technicians and Trades Support contract (METTS). This role involves fabricating, installing, and maintaining sheet-metal equipment and fixtures such as machine guards, grease pans, shelves, lockers, tanks, ventilators, chutes, ducts, and metal roofing. The position requires maintaining and repairing buildings, grounds, and related facilities, as well as installing, repairing, and maintaining engines and mechanical equipment. Responsibilities include planning and laying out sheet-metal work from blueprints or specifications, operating sheet-metal working machines, using hand tools for fabrication, and installing sheet-metal articles.
Requirements
- Rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience
- Experience using hand tools, sheetmetal working machines.
Nice To Haves
- Three (3) years' experience in a related field is desired
Responsibilities
- Maintaining and repairing buildings, grounds, and related facilities
- Installing, repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining in efficient operating condition a wide variety of engines and mechanical equipment designed for use in domestics, commercial, industrial, and agricultural activities.
- Planning and laying out all types of sheet-metal maintenance work from blueprints, models or other specifications
- Setting up and operating all available types of sheetmetal working machines
- Using a variety of hand tools in cutting, bending, forming, shaping, fitting and assembling
- Installing sheet-metal articles as required
