About The Position
HM Staffing Solutions is looking for experienced and detail-oriented Sheet Metal Mechanic Helpers to join our team. You'll be responsible for helping to fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products in a fast-paced, safety-first environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of sheet metal experience (HVAC, industrial, or marine a plus)
- Sheetmetal welding
- Proficient in reading blueprints and shop drawings
- Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials used in the trade
- Ability to lift 50 and work in tight spaces or elevated areas
- Safety-focused, punctual, and reliable
- Ability to read an imperial tape measure
Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, bend, and shape sheet metal
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Operate hand and power tools, shears, brakes, and other fabrication machinery
- Assemble and install ductwork, panels, and structures
- Ensure quality control and adherence to safety standards
- Perform layout work using precision tools and math calculations
