About The Position

Polk Mechanical is seeking a Sheetmetal Foreman to lead a team of three or more tradespeople performing sheetmetal installation and fabrication. The role requires a deep understanding of the sheetmetal trade, hands-on experience, and the leadership skills to guide and support the crew while meeting project deadlines, safety standards, and quality expectations.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience in the sheetmetal trade.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Extensive knowledge of sheetmetal systems, codes, blueprints, and specifications.
• Proven ability to lead and supervise multiple employees.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and project scheduling capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Relay instructions from supervisors and assign immediate tasks to team members.
• Work alongside team members and set the pace of work.
• Demonstrate correct and efficient work methods.
• Ensure availability of blueprints, plans, materials, and tools.
• Coordinate with supervisors to resolve issues and obtain necessary decisions.
• Monitor crew activity and ensure consistent workflow.
• Inspect work in progress and upon completion for quality and compliance with plans.
• Promote and enforce adherence to safety and housekeeping standards.
• Report progress, delays, and job status to superintendents and project managers.
