Requirements

Must have mechanical aptitude.
High School diploma or equivalent
Good written and oral communication skills
Computer knowledge
Must be able to work rotating shifts.
Frequent strenuous/physical effort (lifting, moving heavy objects, etc.)
Be able to work in an environment with conditions involving noise, heat, etc.

Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
Paper, laminating and extrusion experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Read schedule and set up machine and unwind station for each production run.
Manage poly resin waste (poly pans) process.
Bundle waste paper.
Follow directions from operator and works in a safe, productive and quality manner.
Ensure completion of all required paperwork.
Follow safety policies and procedures.
Prepare rolls for cutover processes to ensure machine productivity.
Participate in the setup of the machine.
Monitor machine during production.
Follow directives from operator.
Perform general housekeeping in designated or other assigned areas.
Apply information from schedule to production requirements.
Support facility in meeting departmental goals in safety, productivity, quality and continuous improvement.
Identify problems, determine root cause and assist with resolution.
Drive PIV.
Works well in a team environment.
Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
Participate in SQF Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
Report any potentially unsafe SQF conditions or customer complaints to a person of authority to record and/or correct the situation.
