About The Position

Our Maintenance and Engineering Services team is dedicated to repairing both critical and non-critical equipment, building structures and support systems that are integral to maintaining a safe and reliable healthcare environment. We are seeking a Sheet Metal Worker to layout sheet metal projects including design and layout and organizing materials. Perform welding including GTAW and GMAW with various types of metals. Install, test and inspect fire dampers. Offer creative and custom metalworking.

Requirements

  • Five (5) year sheet metal apprenticeship Required
  • 2 years work experience and construction / installation of mechanical systems Required
  • Journeyman certificate in Sheet Metal Upon Hire Required
  • Must possess a current, valid driver’s license issued by the individual’s state of residence. Must be at least 21 years old or have a minimum of three (3) years of driving experience to operate a Personal Vehicle, Patient/Visitor Vehicle, or standard UW Health Fleet Vehicle. Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years experience with sheet metal work in a hospital setting Preferred
