Requirements

  • Previous experience utilizing various sheet metal machines and processes.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and specifications (Boeing blueprint reading a plus).
  • Epicor ERP knowledge or other ERP system knowledge is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office experience.
  • Organizational ability.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Customer service skills; able to relate well to all internal and external customers.
  • Manufacturing stamp assigned, can verify parts and documentation match work order.
  • Ability to provide on-the-job training or mentoring.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 principles.
  • Troubleshoots minor equipment or machine program/hardware issues.
  • Five years of relevant manufacturing experience including specific experience on assigned equipment and processes.
  • Experience developing tooling and production processes.
  • Develop cross training curriculum on local machinery and provide support, setup team for success during vacations or absences.

Nice To Haves

  • Boeing blueprint reading a plus
  • Epicor ERP knowledge or other ERP system knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process product using equipment such as: shear, blanking press, turret press, CNC router, manual router, CNC press brake, and other equipment.
  • Meet safety and quality system requirements by following established procedures.
  • Design, specify, create and set-up tooling and production processes on equipment listed above.
  • Provide feedback on lean manufacturing processes.
  • Provides training to Orion staff and recommends suggestions on specific processes and equipment.
  • Instruct staff and Program Participants on processing work within delivery requirements.
  • Coordinates staff activities and makes work assignments as needed to meet production and Program Participant needs.
  • Monitors production performance across manufacturing cell and takes corrective action as needed.
  • Troubleshoots problems that are beyond the capability of technicians.
  • Participates in safety and quality investigations and recommends corrective action.
  • Other duties as assigned.
