About The Position

Enjet Aero machines and fabricates complex jet engine parts, components and assemblies for leading OEMs in the commercial, defense and general aviation sectors. Requirements

  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to provide quality work.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • At least 5 years of sheet metal experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex hand and machine sheet metal operations.
  • Set up and operate fabricating machines such as shears, expanders, brake presses and forming rolls to cut, bend, block and form or straighten sheet metal.
  • Shape metal material over anvils, blocks, or other forms, using hand tools.
  • Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material, according to drawings or templates, using calculators, scribes, dividers, squares, and rulers.
  • Fasten seams and joints together with bolts, cement, rivets, solder, caulks, metal drive clips, and bonds in order to assemble components into products or to repair sheet metal items.
  • Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets.
  • Fabricate or alter parts using shears, hammers, punches, and drills.
  • Maintain equipment, making repairs and modifications when necessary.
