About The Position

RQ Construction is looking to hire skilled Sheet Metal Workers/Installers to join our Mechanical team for upcoming work at King's Bay Naval Base, GA and the surrounding area. All work is to be performed on the military base and is paid the required Davis-Bacon prevailing wage, specific to the base. Our Sheet Metal Workers/Installers will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of ductwork, air distribution, and HVAC equipment on an active construction site, ensuring that work is done in accordance with relevant codes. Work involves the technical application of mechanical principles. This is all to be done using the appropriate equipment and implementing the required safety practices in support of RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Requirements

High school diploma or G.E.D.
4 or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey-level sheet metal worker in a commercial, or facilities operations setting.
Access to SUBASE Kings Bay is limited to United States citizens only.
Provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
Successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base.

Nice To Haves

Government, military, or large commercial/industrial construction experience.
Experience in High Bay areas.
Work with turning veins experience.
Rigging experience.
Hoisting Certifications.
